Fendi is an Italian high fashion house best known for its "baguette" handbags. The multinational luxury goods brand is owned by LVMH with Karl Lagerfeld as its creative director. Founded in Rome in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi, the Italian fashion house began life as a fur and leather specialist: two luxury materials used continuously throughout Fendi’s current collections. Karl Lagerfeld became Fendi’s Creative Director in 1965, rapidly growing the brand into one of the world's premier luxury labels, welcoming Silvia Venturini on board in 1992.
The brand’s DNA is built on artisan craftsmanship and luxury fabrics, while playful motifs – including the quirky Bag Bugs, Fendirumi and Monster Eyes designs – have become cult classics, appearing on Fendi’s leather handbags, sneakers and accessories. Fusing classic, heritage style with a distinctly-contemporary aesthetic, Fendi’s offering continues to grow, showcasing luxury ski wear and childrenswear in recent seasons.
